AT THE YARD PECKHAM CROSSFIT IS OUR STAPLE.

The guiding principles of CrossFit are constantly varied, high intensity, functional movements and here at The Yard Peckham we add some more of our own. We believe that there is no singular right way to get moving and get fit but there are plenty of wrong ways and it is for this reason we are so strict on new members completing our foundation course.

CrossFit is comprised of so many different elements, movements, and sports that over the years we have slowly added to our timetable giving our members the chance to deep dive into specifics that interest them.

  • The first acronym of many, the WOD is the workout of the day and make up the bulk of our timetable. We utilise CrossFit Affiliate programming with a strength focus, movement focus and benchmark workouts to measure your progress.

    Our WODs are comprised of warm-ups, mobility, accessory work, teaching and of course, the workout.

  • Engines is an aerobic capacity class that utilises the Concept2 suite: Ski-ergs, Bike-ergs and Rowers as well as running. The programming for our Engines classes are split over long, medium and short days. If you’re training for an event or you just want to build your aerobic capacity this will get you there.

  • A deep dive into the world of Olympic lifting. Comprised of just two lifts you’d think there wouldn’t be much to learn, think again.

    We utilise Oly-lifts in WODs on a regular basis, but normally for higher reps - this is a chance to slow down and focus on developing movement patterns that will help you stay safe and lift more, consistently.

  • Strong As A Mother is our postnatal programmed that we have developed internally with physios, pelvic floor specialists and with our postnatal qualified coaches. The whole aim of SAAM is to give women a route back to fitness post-child birth in a safe, supportive environment.

  • New to CrossFit? Start here!

    Our On-Ramp programming runs parallel to our regular programming. It is comprised 12 sessions completed in a one month period and aims to give you exposure to how we run classes, movements we use and ways to scale to make sure you’re getting the most out of training with us.

  • TWO-A-WEEK

    Available to experienced CrossFit athletes. £125 per month pre-paid at the beginning of each month with 30 days notice to cancel. Memberships are prorated in the first month.
